Indoor air pollution comes in multiple forms, all of which can be hazardous to your health. The PristineAir Polarized-Media Electronic Air Cleaner is designed to remove tiny, sub-micron particles and allergens from your home’s air. It also helps to control odors and gases.

How Does it Work?

PristineAir’s Polarized-Media EAC uses a safe, low current of electricity to create a polarized electric field. As particles pass through this field, they pick up a charge.  This then causes them to stick to the filter. Ever rubbed a balloon on your pants leg, and then stuck the balloon to the wall? It’s the same principle at work!

Using this electric charge, the Polarized-Media EAC captures a wide range of very small particles like pet dander, dust mite feces, dust, and smoke. It traps skin flakes and hair too. These are particles that can cause damage to your HVAC system if they’re allowed to build up over time. And they can raise your energy bills too, by making your system less efficient.

Health Effects

Plus, many of these particles are allergens that can cause negative health effects if they aren’t removed from the air you breathe. For instance, they can lead to coughing, sneezing, congestion, and sore throats.  They can also trigger or worsen asthma symptoms in people with asthma. Some of these particles also provide food for mold, so removing them from the air can help decrease mold growth in your home too.

The Polarized-Media EAC captures 97% of particles as small as 0.3 microns, and it can catch particles even smaller in size. Its brush-seal design prevents particles from sneaking past it. And it actually becomes even more efficient at catching particles as it gets dirtier over time!

When the time comes to replace the disposable media pad, it’s a simple and easy job that can be done in just a few minutes. The Polarized-Media EAC can be installed into your existing ductwork with no expensive renovations needed.
