Brand History


Centurion was a brand of furnaces owned and distributed by York International Corporation under the parent company Johnson Controls, Incorporated.  Centurion produced residential and light commercial heat pumps, furnaces and central air conditioning systems.  


York was founded in 1874 in York, Pennsylvania and acquired by Johnson in 2005.  




The Centurion furnace was a lower cost furnace produced by York under a private label and was not available on the open market.  


Centurion Furnaces came with a 20-year heat exchanger warranty and a 5-year warranty on all other parts.  YorkCare Comfort Plans provide coverage for parts and labor up to 10 years.
