Cylon Controls Ltd is a Dublin, Ireland based company that manufactures building control systems.  Cylon was founded by Sean Giblin in 1985.  Cylon has expanded from Dublin to offices in China, US, UK, and Germany.  Cylon provides smart energy control systems for industrial, commercial, educational and medical facilities around the world.  Cylon invented the Uniput technology that is specifically designed for HVAC applications.

Cylon Active Energy SaaS product allows for real time monitoring in 15 minute cycles that gives the user up-to-date levels of energy consumption throughout the facility.  The reporting is via simple user-friendly interfacing touch screens, alarms and alerts.  

Cylon Controls was a top 10 category winner in the Global Cleantech Cluster Association Awards, winning the award for lighting and energy efficiency.  

Cylon Controls has been acquired by ABB, a Swiss-Swedish multinational corporation headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland, operating mainly in robotics, power, heavy electrical equipment, and automation technology areas. ABB is ranked 341st in the Fortune Global 500 list of 2018 and has been a global Fortune 500 company for 24 years.
