Ducane Air Conditioning and Heating is one of the six brands that fall under the umbrella of Allied Air Enterprises. Allied Air Enterprises is owned by Lennox International making it part of the Lennox Family. Ducane produces a full line of HVAC equipment. This includes their gas and oil furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, packaged units, and ductless systems. Their furnaces and air conditioners are manufactured at their facility in South Carolina.
Value
Ducane’s emphasis is on value. Their air conditioners and heat pumps offer units with efficiency ratings of SEER 13-16. They have only a few models carrying Energy Star certification. They do not offer any higher efficiency units, like the 18-21 SEER units available from some other brands. Ducane does offer some higher-efficiency gas furnaces, with AFUEs ranging from 80-95%. Some of their higher efficiency furnaces offer up-to-date features like an ECM variable-speed blower and two-stage gas valves. These features increase efficiency and comfort by keeping temperatures steadier in your home.
In their packaged units, Ducane offers gas/electric, heat pump, and dual fuel. Dual fuel units combine a heat pump with a gas furnace. This improves efficiency and comfort. When the outside temperature drops below the heat pump’s efficient range, the unit can switch over to using the gas furnace to provide heat.
Warranty
Ducane stands behind the quality of their products with strong warranty coverage. They have a limited lifetime warranty on the heat exchanger in their gas furnaces. There is also limited ten year parts and compressor warranties on many of their ducted units. The ductless units offered by Ducane include both multi-zone and single-zone outside units. The multi-zone outside unit can be connected to up to five indoor units. It has a high efficiency rating of up to 22.5 SEER. The single-zone outside unit offers even higher efficiency, up to 24.5 SEER.
