Jordon Scientific was founded in 1899 as a cabinet making company in Philadelphia. In 1897, William Fogel founded Fogel Refrigeration, also in Philadelphia, and expanded his commercial refrigeration products into military applications. By the end of WWII, Fogel refrigeration products could be found in clinics, schools, universities and government offices around the world. At some point, Jordon and Fogel combined forces and continued to develop refrigeration lines that include glass door coolers, beer frosters, ice merchandisers and more.
William Fogel’s brother, Albert Fogel, was the founder of Howard/ McCray, a refrigeration company also located in Philadelphia. Today, these companies have merged under the name HMC Enterprises LLC and the brand no longer carries the Jordon name. It is still headquartered in Philadelphia and has three factories all located within the Americas. Fogel USA is the brand and is a division of HMC Enterprises.
Fogel products include glass door merchandisers, reach ins, deli and bakery cases, beer frosters, beer dispensers, back bar and bottle coolers, ice merchandisers and prep tables.
